Some
manufacturers expect that their system plus a simple
call management package can provide the hotel with all
its needs. Unfortunately this arrangement has proved
to fall short.
Siemens
have approached the situation in conjunction with the
specialist software house Callista and the HiPath 3000
range can be augmented with two bespoke pieces of software,
the Light BDI and the Hospitality.
The
Light BDI ( Bi-Directional) was designed form the smaller
hotel that of course wished to bill their guest but
needed to offer facilities such as wake up calls and
room status.
The
Hospitality is for hotels that do not have their own
Front of House package. There are many features on this
software and we suggest you see the brochure, but basically
it combines all the features of the Light BDI with reservation
making, invoicing and guest management. This package
is extremely well priced and is a very powerful tool
for the small to medium sized hotel.
In
addition to the above the HiPath offers DECT cordless
working and the systems does not need meter pulses.
This saves on the costly fee and finally allows hotels
to use other cheaper carriers. We can also connect special
units to make calls to mobiles competitive.
