however Windows 2000 Professional is our current
favourite due to its security features, functionality,
and ease of use.

on the move may require a more mobile option in
terms of PC ,therefore AlphaData provide many types
of Notebook and Palmtop for the mobile user.
We
offer both top end and low end Compaq, IBM, Toshiba,
Asus notebooks with many accessories ranging from
car chargers to leather carry cases,and we also
source the Compaq Ipaq for certain customers.
Due
to notebooks being that bit more fragile than
normal desktop PCs we deem warranty to be of great
importance, and thus we are able to provide extensive
warranty schemes on notebook products.

Here
are the types of support offered by AlphaData.
Maintenance
Agreement:This
covers the repair of failed equipment. Repair
includes removing the failed item,provision of
costing for the replacement, sourcing a placement
if it is undermanufacturer's warranty, and fitting
the new item.
Support
Agreement: This incorporates the above
maintenance agreement criteria, and provides additional
telephone support for hardware and software related
issues carrying the customer from onset through
to solution.
A
support agreement may include the provision of
Remote Access Support (RAS) in terms of a modem
dialup connection into a customer's server or
workstation.
Helpdesk
agreement: This is quite simply a question
and answer service provided to help customers
complete any IT related task.
This
maybe to do with the use of an application, for
example Microsoft Word 2000, or perhaps advice
in terms of future direction of a customer's IT
provision.
It
gives companies the opportunity to highlight key
areas of skill deficiency in order to implement
training programs for users or usergroups.

| AlphaData
selectivly provides mainly Hewlett Packard printers,
many coming from the LaserJet and DeskJet range
offering performance and versatility.
Network
ready printers are the most common, however standalone
versions are also very popular depending on the

supply external network printer cards such as
the Hewlett Packard Jet Direct, allowing for upgrade
as and when required.
Brother,
Epson, Canon and other printers can be sourced
if necessary.
Also
under the AlphaData peripheral banner come items
